Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is an advanced aesthetic treatment designed to alter and refine the shape of the nose using small amounts of carefully placed dermal filler, without the need for surgery. It offers a non-invasive option for patients who wish to improve the appearance of their nose with minimal downtime.

By strategically enhancing certain areas, non-surgical rhinoplasty can improve balance and proportions, often creating the appearance of a smaller, straighter and more refined nose. This treatment works on the principle that adding volume in precise locations can smooth irregularities and improve overall harmony with the rest of the face.

Treatment is highly technique dependent and is always tailored to the individual, with a strong focus on safety, anatomy and achieving natural-looking results.

Dr Morag injecting a patient

Non-surgical rhinoplasty involves injections the careful placement of dermal filler into specific areas of the nose to improve shape, contour and symmetry. Small amounts of filler are used to smooth irregularities, support the nasal tip and refine the nasal profile.

A detailed consultation is carried out prior to treatment to assess nasal anatomy, proportions, skin thickness and suitability. The procedure is performed with precision and caution, using advanced injection techniques and a conservative approach.

This is a highly specialised treatment and is only suitable for certain nasal concerns. Not all noses are appropriate for non-surgical correction, and suitability is assessed carefully during consultation.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty can help improve the appearance of:

  • Dorsal humps or bumps along the bridge of the nose
  • Minor asymmetries
  • A flat or low nasal bridge
  • A nose that appears disproportionate to the rest of the face
  • A drooping or under-supported nasal tip
  • Minor contour irregularities following previous nasal procedures

This treatment is not designed to make a large nose smaller, significantly narrow the nostrils or correct breathing issues. Surgical rhinoplasty may be more appropriate in these cases.

Discomfort is minimal and the procedure is generally well tolerated.

Mild tenderness, swelling or bruising can occur following treatment but typically settles within a few days.

The treatment appointment usually takes around 30-45 minutes, including consultation, assessment and treatment.

Results are visible immediately following treatment, although mild swelling may temporarily affect the final appearance.

As swelling settles over the following days, results become more refined and natural looking.

Results typically last between 9 and 18 months, depending on the type of filler used, individual metabolism and lifestyle factors. A top-up treatment between 2-6 weeks may be required to stabilise results & increase the longevity of treatment.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is an advanced procedure with specific risks due to the vascular anatomy of the nose. For this reason, treatment is carried out with a conservative, safety-led approach and is not suitable for everyone.

A thorough consultation is essential to assess suitability and to discuss potential risks, benefits and alternative options. In some cases, referral for surgical rhinoplasty may be more appropriate.
