Radiesse® is a fantastic option for many patients. As one of the most versatile biostimulators on the market, Radiesse is suitable for almost everybody as it can be used in differing dilutions for various indications & gives immediate results, while also delivering long term improvement in skin quality. It is a powerful collagen-stimulating injectable treatment designed to restore structural support while improving skin quality and firmness over time. Discomfort is generally mild to moderate and well tolerated. Radiesse® contains a local anaesthetic to improve comfort during treatment, and additional comfort measures can be used if required.
Patients may experience temporary swelling, tenderness, or mild bruising following treatment, which usually settles within a few days.
A Radiesse® treatment appointment typically takes 30–45 minutes, including assessment, treatment, and aftercare advice.
In some cases, treatment may be staged over more than one session, depending on the area treated and whether Radiesse® is being used for structural support, collagen stimulation, or both.
The timing of results depends on how Radiesse® is used within your treatment plan.
When Radiesse® is used neat (undiluted) to add structure and support, an improvement can often be seen immediately due to the initial scaffolding effect of the product.
When Radiesse® is diluted and used primarily for collagen stimulation, results develop more gradually over the following weeks to months as new collagen is produced. In many cases, improvement continues to evolve after the completion of a treatment course.

When Radiesse® is used neat (undiluted) to provide structural support and volume restoration, results typically last 12–18 months. In some patients, results may last longer, depending on individual factors such as skin quality, metabolism, and lifestyle.
When Radiesse® is diluted and used primarily as a collagen-stimulating treatment, longevity can be more variable. In these cases, results depend largely on the patient’s baseline skin quality, degree of collagen loss, and overall regenerative response. Improvements tend to develop gradually and fade slowly, with many patients maintaining benefits for 12 months or more, particularly when treatment is delivered as part of a wider collagen-stimulating programme.
Because diluted Radiesse® works by encouraging the body to produce its own collagen, results are more closely linked to the health and behaviour of the skin itself, rather than the lifespan of the product alone. Maintenance treatments may be recommended on an individual basis to support ongoing skin quality and collagen production.
